Secondary steam separator SVP DN200 - DN500 PN16

Description

SVP flash steam separators are designed for use in boiler blowdown and heat recovery systems where it is important to separate flash steam from the blowdown to prevent contamination of the boiler feed tank and/or heat transfer surfaces. Also suitable for use in condensate collection and return systems.

Principle of operation

The pressure of condensate/blowdown water entering the SVP separator decreases, which leads to secondary boiling. The secondary steam is returned to the system or used for other technological purposes, such as in the heating system.

Installation

The SVP secondary steam separator is mounted vertically so that the secondary steam outlet is at the top. Each separator has a G½" threaded fitting (female thread) for installing a pressure gauge with a compensation tube. To drain condensate from the separator, it is recommended to use a condensate drain assembly consisting of a strainer, float trap, sight glass, check valve and shut-off valves. The separator has a branch pipe for a safety valve.
