Grundfos MQ 3 self-priming pumping station for water supply
MQ is a compact water supply pumping station with a pump, electric motor, pressure tank and control system combined into one common unit. The pump automatically turns on when water consumption occurs in the water supply system and turns off when water consumption stops. The pump produces very little noise and can be installed in pipelines both indoors and outdoors.
The self-priming pump is equipped with a suction port with a non-return valve. The pump has an easy-to-use control keyboard. An integrated pressure tank reduces the number of intermittent starts in the event of a leak in the water pumping station.
The MQ pump has built-in protection against overheating and dry running.
Purpose
Main applications:
- increase in pressure when working together with hydraulic tanks
- water supply from wells (maximum suction head 8 metres), e.g.:
- in private residences,
- at the cottage and in boarding houses,
- in farms,
- in commercial horticulture and other large horticultural farms.
It is allowed to use the pump for pumping rain and drinking water.
Pumped liquid
Clear, non-aggressive liquid without solid or long-fibrous inclusions.
Control keyboard
To control the MQ pump, only the keyboard with controls is used. With it, the pump can be turned on and off. The setting values of the parameters and the operating modes of the pump are indicated by means of light signaling.
